On episode 21 of Concussion Talk Podcast (#CTP) I talk to Ironman triathlete Enrico Quilico. In September I was at the Brain Injury Canada conference and I saw Enrico talk about how exercise helped him after his brain injury.
Enrico was brain injured in 2006 and since 2008 he has raced in 17 triathlons, including Ironman Lake Placid (3.8km swim, 180km and a 42km run) on July 24, 2016. Convinced of the importance of exercise after brain injury, he did the race as a fundraiser for Brain Injury Canada and raised over $10,000.
I talk to Enrico about his brain injury, rehab, and the important role exercise has played in his life since.
