In episode 17 of Concussion Talk Podcast I talk to Sandhya and Swapna Mylabathula. They are sisters from Toronto who have done a lot of research on concussions and concussion awareness, with the aim of ultimately bridging the gap between what those who’ve had a concussion need, and what is available. By working with their Member of Parliament, Dr. Kirsty Duncan (currently the Minister of Science), they helped to draft a Private Member’s Bill into Parliament, A Comprehensive Strategy to Address Concussions Across Canada. The Bill has had its first reading in Parliament and is in the process of becoming legislation.

We discuss; the Bill and what it entails, their research, and their resulting speaking engagements in Canada and internationally.

We also discuss the Brain Injury Canada conference in Toronto in September 2016, at which they will speak and where I hope to do a podcast with presenters/speakers.
