I’m excited about this past week and looking forward to what may be!
It took my a long time to record, but once I stopped being so self-critical I finally finished and have put out my first ever podcast! This coming week I will interview a friend from university, Dr. Kristian Goulet, a pediatrician, focusing on concussions. Dr. Goulet has given many presentations regarding concussions in the U.S at the national, state, regional, and local levels, while completing his Pediatric Residency at the University of New Mexico. He gave more presentations when he did a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Harvard University. He also designed a concussion education program and is the Clinical Supervisor for the Concussion Education Program for the Sports Legacy Institute. He is also a Credentialed IMPACT Consultant (CIC) meaning he is trained to interpret all IMPACT neuropsychological testing for concussions.
I’ve been trying to spread the word about my podcast and have put it on SoundCloud and made a YouTube Channel! Granted, this is a tricky time of the year to begin this, but as long as it works out I’ll have done a few podcasts by the time late summer/early fall rolls around! That’s the hope anyway.
It’ll also give me time to work out some issues with recording. For example, I tried to do a recording last night, but the software I was trying to use wouldn’t allow me to sign in, even after I went through the whole ‘Forgot your password’ process twice. So I had to postpone that recording until Thursday night. In the meantime, I’ll make sure I’ve got that all sorted out before then.
I’ve got a lot to learn about making podcasts, so this new experiment won’t go smoothly everytime, but I like the idea of it, and hopefully I can keep it going!
