Who You Are Now

Thank you to Head Trauma Support Project of Sacramento for mentioning and sharing on Twitter, a post I wrote a year ago:

Take a look at this man's message on how a brain injury does not define who you are. https://t.co/OXGjLUl2ZX

That is what has inspired me to write this one. It’s certainly nice to know that people are reading my writing, and even nicer to know that it means enough that they want to share it with their followers!

I don’t recall exactly what inspired me to write that post, but it was about the time when I first decided that I’d like to speak about brain injury. Since that post I have spoken five times, to; The Rotary Club of Avalon Northeast, NL Wellness Expo, Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy PT Matters, Stroke Support Group – Speech/Language Pathology at Eastern Health Miller Centre, Rotary Club of St. John’s, and I’ll be speaking to another group on March 22!

The last time I spoke, I talked more about my attitude philosophy/view of life; how it has changed since my brain injury and how it has changed since I was 23. I like that my attitude and view of life have changed and I like that they’re always changing. In that way, I let my brain injury define me.
